Planning Specialties
I specialize in working with people age 50+ who are approaching or already in retirement. At this stage of life, the decisions tend to become more complex and more connected. For example, when to retire, how much to spend, where income should come from, how taxes fit in, and how investments should support the rest of the plan.
My work is focused on helping clients make sense of those decisions and look at them together, so one choice does not unintentionally create problems somewhere else.
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and IRS Enrolled Agent, with a master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Purdue University. That background gives me a strong foundation in the retirement and tax-related decisions that become especially important during this stage of life.
Additional Information
Outside of work, I spend as much time outdoors as I can. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, camping, packrafting, and exploring new places. Alaska has become one of my favorite places to visit, and some of my most memorable adventures have happened there:
- Hiking the Stampede Trail just outside of Denali National Park in Alaska (this trail was made famous by the book and movie “Into the Wild”).
- Halibut fishing in the Gulf of Alaska
- Camping under the Northern Lights on a cool fall night in the backcountry. Seeing them dance above us in the silence of night was incredible and is hard to put into words.
