Matt is a fee-only, fiduciary planner with more than a decade of experience helping clients plan for retirement and invest well. He began his career in 2011 working for a large mutual insurer. It was a poor fit for his skills and talents, but it provided him with enough of a foothold in the industry to move to a boutique wealth management firm just one year later. It was there that he obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. At just 26, he became one of the youngest people in the nation to carry those marks. Matt moved to a local credit union after the boutique wealth manager was acquired by a larger outfit. In 2019, he moved across the country and joined Carmichael Hill where he continue to help people prepare for retirement and invest wisely.

Additional Information

Matt has a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Hull, located in Hull, England. He attended on a full academic scholarship and graduated with honors and the highest marks achievable under the British system. For a little over a year, Matt worked for a British energy giant before relocating back to the US. Matt is from Texas but now resides in Bethesda, MD, with his beautiful wife and adorable goldendoodle. He is a lifelong Cowboys fan as well, but only because he secretly craves disappointment. He volunteers regularly in his community and has served as a board member for the Financial Planning Association of Austin and as President of ATX United, a local soccer foundation in the Austin, TX area.
