Trail Financial Planning LLC

Trail Financial Planning is a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm located in Bellingham, WA.  Our mission is to strengthen lives through finance. 

John Chesbrough and Elizabeth Snyder (Liz) started the firm to provide financial advice to people when they hit, or prepare to hit, a life transition.  Having a baby, losing a spouse, sending a kid to college, preparing for retirement, changing a career, or even receiving a windfall all involve transitions of financial and mental frameworks.  Liz comes from a background in mental health counseling.  She specialized in working with single women. John's background is in teaching.  He tends to work with couples and families.  

We chose to make our firm fee only so that we could provide unbiased advice without the conflict-of-interest pressures related to receiving commissions.  We chose for our firm to be independent, so we can help our clients reach the a plan that is right for them, not just right for an owner.  We choose Bellingham, WA, because we love this community's commitment to the planet and its people.
