Amherst Financial Services, Inc. was established in 1987 as an independent Financial Planning and Asset Management Company. Amherst Financial Services is a Registered Investment Advisor. Gateway Advisory formally does business as (d.b.a) Amherst Financial and is a fee only independent financial planning company, there is no bias with any specific financial industry (i.e. insurance, brokerage house, bank, etc.). There is no special preference in data gathering, in developing plans, making recommendations and/or investing.

Amherst Financial Services objective is to do what is right for our clients. When investing their money our focus is to protect their accumulated wealth and to diversify their investments so they are not adversely exposed to any one asset class. This is accomplished by implementing Asset Allocation employing a tactical investment approach and/or utilizing Modern Portfolio Theory with the emphasis on No-Load Mutual Funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETF's).
