John Gugle
John Gugle is a Co-Owner and Principal of Alpha Financial Advisors in Charlotte, NC. John and his wife Ann Gugle, CFP®, CPA/PFS work together along with two other NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisors. Alpha serves 130 clients in 5 countries.
John began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1992 with degrees in Finance and Japanese. He went on to spend 7 years in Tokyo, Japan working for Chase, Price Waterhouse Consulting, and Morgan Stanley.
Upon repatriating to the US in 2002, John joined UBS PaineWebber in Charlotte and ultimately transitioned to Alpha Financial Advisors in 2005 after obtaining his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designations. John became a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor in 2006. John served on the NAPFA South Region Board from 2010 to 2013 and was the Board President from 2011 to 2012. He has been involved on the Public Policy committee from 2012 to the present. While serving on the Public Policy committee, John has represented NAPFA at the Financial Planning Association’s National Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill in 2014 and 2015.
John and his wife Ann have been married for over 21 years. They have two daughters and twin sons. His hobbies include golf, skiing, international travel and college football.
