The presentation explores the distinction of being an advisor who understands the issues of longevity and how to wisely guide clients to plan for life beyond the early phase of retirement. Retirement life can span 30 years or more. Loss of independence is highly likely with very long life. This creates a need for advisors to be clear in offering advice about what clients may resist thinking about. There is more to being an extraordinary advisor than merely planning for clients’ financial security.
