By 2030, 20% of the US population will be 65+. Whether financial planners target older adult clients or not, there is a need for expertise to assist aging adult family members with the difficult decisions they and their families face in later life. Included in Cheryl’s discussion will be:

I. The role of ageism in today’s culture and how aging expertise is applicable for clients and their families. Using research to encourage more positive aging throughout life (social engagement, healthy diet, exercise, lifelong learning)
II. Aging expertise is a valuable differentiator to assist client families and provide stickiness to successive generations.
III. Proactive conversations with clients to consider their possible future “what-ifs” and plan for contingencies
