Job Description

Montis is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Financial Advisor position in our Waltham, MA office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating, building, fostering, and strengthening client relationships by delivering world-class advisory, financial planning, and investment management service to clients. This individual will participate on the investment committee as well as work in conjunction with the rest of the advisory team and support staff to deliver comprehensive financial planning services to sophisticated individuals and families.


Location

Waltham, MA. While the position is predominately in-person, we do offer a flexible work policy.


Responsibilities

• Directly face clients to identify, prioritize, and achieve their personal financial goals through analysis of financial independence, retirement, cash flow, tax, estate, education, insurance as well as investment management aspects of client’s financial situations

• Provide a best-in-class service and experience to a select group of clients, including frequent external and internal communications

• Contribute to investment committee through development of neutral portfolio including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management aspects

• Serve as liaison to other service providers leveraged by clients

• Focus on business development and client acquisitions efforts

• Additional duties may entail participation in team projects and assisting with initiatives designed to streamline firm policies and procedures


Prerequisites & Qualifications

• Four-year college degree (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics)

• Minimum ten years of financial services professional experience

• CFP® or CFA designation

• Experience with financial technologies including RedTail, Orion PM, e-Money (preferred)

• Excellent leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise

• Robust communication skills (articulate, persuasive, and ability to have difficult conversations)

• Proficiency in educating clients on complex financial concepts

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications

• Series 65 license (required)
