Financial Advisor

Merit Financial Partners LLC is a fee-only financial planning and Registered Investment Advisory firm with offices in New York City and Westport, CT, in the process of an exciting expansion of our business. We are currently seeking Financial Advisors to acquire and service new clients. The ideal candidate for this position would be a Certified Financial Planner or an individual working toward the CFP designation who has experience providing financial advice to a wide range of individuals. The successful applicant will join an experienced team that provides comprehensive advice to clients regarding all aspects of financial planning including investments and retirement planning.

We specialize in providing hourly, as-needed financial and investment advice and investment management services to individuals and families. As Fee-Only advisors, we work solely for our clients on a fiduciary basis. Clients have the flexibility to engage us on either a one-time, as-needed or ongoing basis.

A successful candidate would:

• Acquire qualified financial planning and asset management clients

• Create comprehensive or modular financial plans and project work according to client needs

• Share our firm’s philosophy of putting the client first

• Manage ongoing relationships with clients, keeping them updated about any changes affecting their finances

• Maintain a strong commitment to teamwork and contribute to the overall success of the company

Skills sought:

• CFP Certification a plus

• 2+ years' experience in a financial planning role or equivalent experience

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge of MoneyGuidePro a plus.
