HIGHLAND Financial Advisors, LLC, an independent, Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisor in Wayne, NJ, is seeking to expand its team with a Financial Planner/Advisor. The team at HIGHLAND is made up of talented professionals who have a service mindset, a team first approach, and shared initiative and accountability. The Financial Planner/Advisor will work with the Wealth Advisors to deliver a superior client experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide advanced planning support to Wealth Advisors in all aspects of a client’s financial plan and investment portfolio management.
  • Record notes from client meetings with Wealth Advisor in CRM.
  • Document and delegate tasks in CRM to coordinate implementation and on-going monitoring of financial planning and investment recommendations for clients.
  • Manage client service and internal workflows in CRM across all levels of the firm to maximize efficiency and timely execution of work.
  • Respond to client inquiries and be on-going point of contact for clients in support of Wealth Advisor.
  • Contribute to weekly blog.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of financial concepts
  • Experience working with MoneyGuidePro, Tamarac Advisor Xi software, TD Ameritrade, and Charles Schwab a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team
  • An ownership mentality – no job is too small
  • Passion for helping clients achieve their goals
Qualifications for this position:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or Graduate Degree a plus
  • CFP® or CFA® designation
  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to multi-task, problem solve, and manage deadlines
  • Proven ability to complete work accurately and in a timely fashion
