Boutique fee only financial planning firm in Rolling Meadows is seeking a part time administrative assistant/paraplanner.


Financial Elements, Inc. is an independent financial advisory practice that provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management to individuals and families. I help clients in all aspects of their financial lives – setting and meeting financial and life goals and providing support along the way. My clients enjoy a high degree of personal service and attention and they share with me many details of their financial and personal lives – they are cared for like family and I am looking for the right person to help me continue to provide that high level of service. This person would have a professional and caring demeanor, a positive attitude, and be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

The position will be 15-20 hours per week. There is potential for more hours throughout the year. Hours are flexible and can be adapted to fit with the right candidate’s schedule.

Duties will include supporting the financial advisor in all aspects of managing client relationships. This includes but is not limited to greeting clients professionally, tracking client and advisor tasks, scanning, data entry, report preparation, meeting follow-up, completing forms, special projects, and other general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional client service, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness and desire to take ownership of important firm responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must possess the highest ethical standards as client confidentiality and care is of utmost importance

• Client service focused – must be comfortable talking to clients both in person and on the phone.

• Self-starter – must be able to work independently, take initiative as appropriate, and prioritize work

• Must be a team player with a “no job is beneath me” attitude – we are a small office and we do what needs to get done

• Must be detail orientated and organized

• Strong computer skills including a high degree of proficiency with Excel (formulas) and Word.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills

• Affinity for numbers and a basic understanding of financial terminology desired (i.e. IRA, ROTH IRA, etc.)

• Familiarity with a CRM (Client Relationship Management) tool is a plus

• Experience with Schwab (or similar) forms is a plus but will train.

• Paraplanner or experience with an RIA also a plus.

Candidate will need to agree to a background and credit check. If hired, employee will be required to provide an initial list of certain investments, and update that with securities bought or sold each quarter to be in compliance with insider trading laws.
