Position Overview

This is a professional position and you will work directly with the owners on existing firm clients as well as new clients. You will work directly with the firm’s owners to prepare financial plans using customized Excel-based spreadsheets and MoneyGuidePro financial planning software. Thorough computer skills are a must and superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required to prepare cash flow projections and assist in rebalancing client investment portfolios. You must be comfortable with data entry, analysis and interpretation. Many of your projects require conclusions documented in client letters and internal memos; as such, your writing skills must be excellent. The owners are available to provide mentoring and big picture direction but you must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills and work independently. Ideally you would quickly become the primary contact person for some of the firm’s clients. The firm’s owners see this person eventually working on their own, as a lead planner, as soon as they have gained the necessary skills and experience.

Our Financial Planning firm is fee-only, comprehensive and tax-focused (all planners prepare client tax returns). We need a financial planner who is very detailed, a great writer and a great communicator.
