We are a national recruiting firm specializing in placing financial planning professionals with leading wealth management firms nationwide. We are representing a fee-only firm in Ann Arbor, MI that is seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join their team. Detailed job specifications available once we connect and agree it is a mutual fit.

Our client is a leading fee-only financial planning firm located in vibrant downtown Ann Arbor. They have a young driven team including 6 CFPs – more than any other firm in the area – and have experienced excellent growth with very little marketing! This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least 3 years of experience who is looking for a better lifestyle, career, and/or cultural fit.


RESPONSIBILITIES WE’LL TRUST YOU WITH

Work directly with Senior Financial Planners in serving new and existing clients. Regularly monitor clients’ financial situations. Involvement in all aspects of pre-client meeting activities and post client meeting tasks. Prepare financial plans and retirement projections. Assist with trading and rebalancing of client accounts. Interact with clients over the phone and in-person professionally and respectfully. Facilitate efficient office operations including leading and assisting with process and system improvement projects.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors’ degree from an accredited CFP Board Registered financial planning program or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience. CFP® certification required. Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office. Show curiosity and confidence when dealing with clients and lead advisors. Specific experience working with Junxure, Drake Tax Prep, Steele Systems, Morningstar, Right Capital, and Raymond James and Schwab systems is helpful, but not required.
