Wealth Adviser / Portfolio Manager

Summary of Position:
Responsible for all necessary functions relating to the investment of client funds for Meyer Capital Group, Incorporated.
Major Job Functions:
Portfolio Management and Client Support:
- Manages all aspects of client support, for assigned clients, including establishing and modifying portfolio strategy, client investment risk/asset allocation, and tax evaluation. Uses a variety of tools including MCG Investment Matrix, Tamarac Advisor View, Tamarac CRM, Schwab Institutional Website, other internet sources and internal communication with Investment Committee.
- Fields daily calls, for assigned clients, regarding all aspects of portfolio management as described above and, in addition, provides variety of quotes and other advice based on client requests.
- Contacts assigned clients on a regular basis to discuss all aspects of portfolio management as described above; Utilizes conversations (review of their overall allocation) to identify the potential for new investment from these existing clients.
- Maintains understanding of current and future market conditions by utilizing sources such as: Wall Street Journal, Barrons, Financial Times, Magazines, Software/Databases (Morningstar, etc.), etc.
- Meets with selected clients on regular basis to discuss modification to portfolio strategy and financial planning scenarios.
- Implements client account changes by entering trades using Schwab and/or TD Ameritrade.
Ensure required documentation is completed for each transaction.
Prospect Meetings
- Supports marketing staff in prospect meetings on an as needed basis.
- Provides support to Marketing personnel, on an as needed basis, by providing input to proposal creations.
Position Requirements:
Experience
5+ years as a financial advisor / portfolio manager providing advice to clients' ( preferably in the RIA fee-only space); 5-10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
Certifications
- Series 65, Additional certification preferred include CFP, CFA, CIMA.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or related discipline required, Advanced degrees (MBA, MA) preferred
