Intern - Marketing

Altfest Personal Wealth Management, a leading independent Financial Planning and Investment Management firm located in midtown Manhattan, is seeking a graduate student to support the company's Marketing and Client Relations department. 

The Marketing Intern will immediately begin working 20 hours/week assisting the Marketing and Client Relations team in various marketing tasks, including working on newsletters, preparing and writing marketing materials, working on social media, web content and marketing campaigns, and helping organize company events.

The intern will have the opportunity to learn while working. Our interns gain real workplace skills as they assist with many projects. 

Potential projects may include:

• Performing annual demographic study of our client base

• Writing drafts of marketing communications for clients and prospects; manage internal and Compliance review

• Assisting with the planning of internal and external speaking engagements and other events

• Helping analyze and draw insights from campaign performance data to determine effectiveness / next steps

• Maintaining project schedules and Marketing calendar in a fast-paced small team environment

• Working on related projects with our skilled Marketing and Client Relations team

The skills / characteristics needed to succeed in this position are the following:

• Strong writing skills

• Strong multitasking / organizational skills (will work on many things at once)

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong speaking / presentation skills (on the phone, over email, in-person)

• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint (InDesign, Photoshop, social media and / or web development a plus)

• Strong work ethic / results oriented

• Takes direction well, but also can manage projects on own

• Creativity and thinking outside the box

• Analytical skills
