At Norris, Perné & French, we use a three-meeting process to develop recommendations that make the most of each client's situation.

  1. Philosophy - The philosophy meeting ensures that what we do is a fit for what the client needs.  We are fiduciaries, which means that we only work with clients for whom we can do our best work. We require that each client have at least $1,000,000 to invest with us.
  2. Strategy - After the philosophy meeting, we gather information and draft a plan for our client.  At the strategy meeting, we review this plan to ensure that our information is correct, and that our viewpoint is consistent with the client’s expectations.
  3. Delivery - After the strategy meeting, we prepare final recommendations to make the most of our client’s situation.  At the delivery meeting, we review the final plan and provide recommendations to the client.

We actively manage your financial plan, taking into account life changes, as well as changes in taxes and the investment environment.

As a client, your plan may take advantage of these strategies:

  • Retirement planning
  • Tax minimization
  • Estate & charitable planning
  • Social Security optimization
  • Equity compensation planning
  • Concentrated position management
  • Multi-generational transfer strategies
  • Long-term care analysis

We work with your team of professionals when developing and implementing strategies.  We also stay on top of our areas of expertise to ensure that we deliver best-in-class work in your financial plan.

Additional Information

I fell in love with the intellectual challenge that comes with investing when I was an undergraduate at Grand Valley State University. Through a student-run investment club, I learned first-hand what it means to put your money in a business and watch the benefits of compounding work over time.

However, it wasn't a straight path becoming an investment advisor in West Michigan, particularly with the challenges that came with the Global Financial Crisis in 2008. Being fortunate to have held careers in commercial banking then family office investment research, I quickly witnessed the importance of a resilient investment strategy. I was finally able to land my dream job at Norris, Perné & French in 2012, where I spent my first years in stock research, then transitioned into client-centric wealth planning and portfolio management.

Our firm's services revolve around developing a customized investment strategy that is right for our clients' long-term objectives. Because we, as advisors at Norris, Perné & French, have an investment-focused background, we are able to help you filter through the noise and complexity that often comes with exposure to the markets. Our goal is to provide simplicity and peace of mind as you proceed through the various chapters of life.
