Planning Specialties

Hi, I'm William, a Financial Advisor at Team Hewins. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over three years of experience, I specialize in financial planning and equity compensation for young professionals working in the technology and biopharmaceutical space. I enjoy guiding clients through equity compensation decisions and all the challenges that accompany life changes.

I aim to empower clients with the resources and clarity to make well-informed financial decisions. Operating at the highest level of fiduciary responsibility and transparency, I strive to provide personalized support and advice, from prioritizing and identifying primary deficiencies to protecting assets and providing for families, businesses, and the community. In addition to cash flow and budgeting, investment policy statements, estate, retirement, and tax planning, we connect the dots by working directly with your CPA, attorney, and other professionals.

Because we are looking to form long-term relationships with clients, we do not typically engage on a one-time project basis. We charge an asset-based fee that covers all of our financial planning and investment management work. Our fee schedule is tiered, based on a percentage of the market value of the assets under management.

Additional Information

I graduated from Salve Regina University with a B.S. in Financial Management and a Minor in Economics. As a former captain of my college tennis team, I also understand the power of leadership and teamwork in achieving excellent outcomes. The team-based approach to serving clients at Team Hewins has allowed me to bring my best to every interaction. As an avid tennis player and fan, I always draw comparisons between the sport and investing. One of the most decorated tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic, won just 54.9% of the points he played from 2015 to 2019, yet won an unprecedented nine Grand Slam championships over that period. That number is close to the 53.8% positive days for the S&P 500 over the past 70 years, which produced an 11.5% annualized return. The point? In both cases, you can achieve impressive goals in the end with a steady, consistent approach.
