Planning Specialties

We at Milestone have an established five step process. The first step is the Get to know you phase. What is important to you. Where you are today? Discovery is an imperative part of the planning process. It includes Family as well as who and what you care about. Your Occupation, what you do for a living? Do you love what you do? Recreation, what do you do for fun? What makes you happy, what do you enjoy? What are your hobbies? All parts of your why... then we move on to the how, Money. What do you spend, what do you save? How is it allocated? Is it working for you or against you? The second step is Where do I want to be? What are my goals, what do I want to accomplish? The third step is Analyzing your entire picture, can we improve on and optimize your current situation? The more information I know, the better. The more I can help you. Health is wealth. I can most assuredly help with the wealth to help the health and relieve worry and fear. The fourth step is to then Develop and implement your plan to get you where you need to go! Lastly, we will Monitor your plan, meet every quarter and adjust accordingly as life changes and we hit your Milestones!

As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), his emphasis is on customized portfolio management, with specialties in portfolio construction, risk management and retirement income planning. Prior to starting the Milestone Asset Management Group office in Milford, CT, Rich served in New York as a Wealth Strategist at BakerAvenue, a boutique private investment firm, where he provided financial planning for high net worth families and small businesses. In addition, Rich served as an Account Executive at Fidelity Investments where he focused on all aspects of wealth management, from the accumulation of assets, preservation, retirement distribution and tax efficient transfer of wealth to future generations. Prior to his work at Fidelity, Rich began his finance career with E*TRADE Financial where he contributed to opening the 1st retail branch in New York City.

Something You Don’t Know About Rich
In 1989, he learned to sell solutions early on in his career. Employed at age eleven, he helped increase sales of expensive baseball card sets at a local collectables dealer with his suggestion to break up the complete sets into more affordable team groupings. His reasoning? No kid could afford the whole set, but they would love to own all the cards from their favorite teams. I guess that could be called marketing to the micro-customer! By the way, Rich has quite an extensive baseball card collection from his earnings as a young man. Quite a businessman at an early age. He has come a long way since then, but has never lost his knack for identifying a problem, thoroughly researching, and creating an effective, end-to-end solution.
