The firm's professional services consist of both personal financial planning and investment management:

  • Investment management services include the creation of a unique investment plan; review of existing investments; and recommendations for repositioning the portfolio. Ongoing portfolio management services also include investment account setup, monitoring the portfolio to the target asset allocations, providing liquidity for withdrawal needs, and performance reporting. No-load investment products are used in all client portfolios, and we also communicate frequently with clients using face-to-face meetings, quarterly performance reporting, phone conferences and email.
  • Personal financial planning advice is provided to clients in the following areas: defining client financial goals; tax and cash flow analysis; retirement needs planning; college education funding; review of the client's estate plan; personal insurance analysis; charitable gifting strategies and other areas of client concern.

The principal of the firm, William Howell, has over 25 years of experience as a financial advisor and has managed over $170 million in client portfolios. We work with a wide variety of individual clients including pre/post retirees, widows/widowers, divorcees, corporate executives, and mid-career professionals. We also provide investment management services to small business pension plans and non-profit groups.

Additional Information

Initial financial planning and one-time investment services are billed on an hourly or project basis as the work is completed. Ongoing financial planning and investment management services are billed as a fixed quarterly retainer fee based on the initial size of the client's investment assets (.45% to .95% per year).

We offer a no-cost, initial consultation with prospective clients. At this meeting, we discuss your personal financial planning and investment management needs. If both the client and the firm would like to work together, an engagement letter is prepared outlining our financial planning services and the estimated project fee. Regarding ongoing portfolio management and financial planning services, the firm and the client enter into an investment advisory and management agreement which describes in detail the services to be provided and the fixed retainer fee associated with the services.
