Jim Ludwick, CFP® founded MainStreet Financial Planning, Inc. (MSFP) in 2002. A retired U.S. Air Force officer, Jim’s career experience includes working as a hospital administrator, commercial real estate broker, life insurance agent, vice president of two different bank trust departments and a regional vice president of very large money management firm.

MSFP started in Jim’s home in Odenton, Maryland, but rapidly expanded to become one of the most recognized planning firms in the country due to the public’s interest in accessing fee-only advice on an on-going basis.

Jim turned over the ownership reins to Anna Sergunina, CFPÒ, in 2014, and now devotes his time primarily to client meetings, regardless of where he’s currently located throughout the globe. Thanks to the ease of technology and Jim’s personal schedule, he’s an ideal pick for clients looking for meeting flexibility.

Clients appreciate Jim’s unique process of listening to their specific concerns and finding innovative solutions that often include habit modification to help them achieve their financial goals. His low-pressure communication style and view on the importance of lifelong learning brings delight to the thousands of clients he’s coached throughout the years.

Jim and his wife Carol, a retired nurse, frequently travel to see family and friends. To accommodate both client and the Ludwick lifestyle preferences, many of his appointments are handled via remote audio/video platforms like Zoom or Skype.
