As a wealth advisor, I manage client assets through portfolio and retirement analysis, wealth transfer, and risk management. I am motivated by seeing the relief clients feel when they see how a holistic approach of financial planning can work toward achieving their financial goals. I also specializes in 401(k) plans and work with business owners to develop retirement plans that best meet their needs, as well as assisting the employees with enrollment and investing advice.

Additional Information

A graduate of West Point, Joel served as an officer in the United States Army from 2002 until 2007. His military service included leading a company and serving as Brigade Engineer and operations officer in Iraq. Joel is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, which is awarded for meritorious service in a combat zone.

Joel earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2002, in addition to an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado in 2012 and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Colorado Denver in 2014. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional designation.

Outside of work, Joel serves on the board of the West Point Society of Denver. In the past five years, he has trained for and completed eleven ultra-marathons, including four 100 mile races. Joel and his wife, who are both combat veterans and spent 2005 deployed together in Iraq, have two daughters.
