Additional Information

Marisa Rothstein, a Managing Director at BakerAvenue, is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals. Marisa takes a holistic approach to financial planning—considering various aspects of a client’s financial and personal life—to develop customized financial plans. Specializing in tax, trusts, and estate planning, Marisa works with individuals and families to plan confidently for their future. The daughter of a CPA, Marisa learned her IRA’s before her ABC’s. She also learned, from a very early age, the importance of building trusting, lasting relationships with clients. Marisa welcomes new clients as new friends and, as a fiduciary, always serves in their best interests.

Prior to joining BakerAvenue, Marisa was an Associate Financial Advisor at Asset Strategies, Inc., a Connecticut-based Registered Investment Advisory firm, where she provided financial planning and tax services for high-net-worth individuals. Marisa graduated with a BA with Honors in Sociology from Vassar College. After earning a JD from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Marisa clerked for the Honorable Melvin Gelade of New Jersey’s Middlesex County Superior Court. Marisa is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a member of the New York State Bar.

On the personal side:

When not baking whimsical birthday cakes for family and friends, Marisa is busy supporting community causes. Marisa can often be found at fundraising walks and runs. She also serves as an Executive Director for Thon Met African Peace Foundation, a grassroots organization that aids refugee families from South Sudan.

Marisa and her husband, Nolan, traveled around the world with their toddler in tow. Over the course of five months, they climbed the mountains of Patagonia; snorkeled with colorful fish at the Great Barrier Reef; and savored divine bowls of ramen noodle soup in Tokyo.
