Planning Specialties

Robert Colon has attained the designation of Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), which covers subject areas of risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. In addition, Rob went on to attain the Accredited Domestic Partner Advisor® (ADPA®) designation focusing on planning for financial and medical end-of-life needs for domestic partners including wealth transfers, federal taxation, and retirement planning.

Robert is an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”). An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this status are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.

Prior to founding Legacy Care Wealth, Mr. Colon held the position of Vice-President of Wealth Management for an independent wealth management practice managing over $70 million of client assets for whom he reviewed and monitored client accounts to identify gaps or deficiencies in their long-term financial plan. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in Physics and Political Science from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
