Flourish Financial Planning
My previous financial planning background included providing advice to high net-worth individuals. There were many times in this position when I had to tell young, eager families that we could not help them because they didn’t have enough money yet. Many times, the clients that do not meet the wealth requirements to work with traditional financial planning firms actually have more stress and more financial planning needs, and I enjoy financial planning because I get to help unburden clients from the stress that comes with personal finances. This spurred me to start Flourish Financial Planning.
An eternal mindset and biblical perspective form the foundation of my financial beliefs. I think it is important to address the heart behind your relationship with money instead of trying to force behaviors or plans. Not only does this lead to better outcomes, it is also Biblically supported by Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) when He emphasizes the motives of the heart vs. outward action.
While my Master’s Degree is in Financial Planning, the program emphasized financial counseling as well, which is an area I enjoy going into with my clients. I believe that adding the counseling aspect to my services empowers clients to take ownership and feel confident with their finances.
