I try not to just answer your questions, but to help you understand the concepts and rational behind my recommendations. I’ll review if you qualify for Social Security Survivor benefits, when you should apply, and determine when you should start your own benefits. I’ll also help guide you through tax planning on an increased “Single tax payer” tax bracket.
Navigating both retirement and planning for your special needs child can be overwhelming. I help you and your family answer: Do we need a trust? What happens when we go from SSI to SSDI? When does Medicare start? Should we have an ABLE account?
I’ll help you determine when you need to take your Required Minimum Distributions from your parent’s retirement plans. If you fall under the “10-year rule” I’ll design a withdrawal strategy that aligns with your overall tax plan. If needed, I can help guide you through the estate process.
