WHY FRESHFIELD

Freshfield is a fee-only investment manager and financial planner located in Plano, Texas serving clients locally and nationwide.  Our principal, Dr. Andy Lawson, PhD (Econ), is a CFP® professional.  We provide all services as a fiduciary, meaning we’re legally obliged to put our client’s best interests first. Unlike brokers, we don’t earn commissions by selling proprietary products such as mutual funds or annuities. By taking a client-first approach, we put our focus where it should be: on you and your financial goals. We believe this and the following four key benefits determine why 9 out of 10 clients entrust their investment management and financial planning needs to us for the long term.*

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE TALKING TO US ABOUT

FAQs

What should I do with a 401K from a former employer?

There are 4 options: keep it where it is, move it to the new employer's 401K, cash out or roll over into an IRA account.  Rolling over is often the best option.

Can investment fees and costs really take a 30% bite out of my retirement?

Yes, over a 20-year investment period, industry-average fees could reduce the value of a portfolio by a third. Investors must aggressively control their investment costs.

Should I decrease my portfolio's risk in turbulent stock markets?

NoIf your portfolio has the correct asset allocation and is suitably diversified you should not react.

Does the firm profit at my expense? Or are you loyal to me, all of the time, with all of my money?

Freshfield never profits at the client's expense; the firm is legally obligated to always act in the best interest of the client.
