Founder & Financial Advisor
Kate has always had a passion for personal finance. Growing up with a father who had a long career in asset management, Kate was fortunate to build a solid foundation in investing early in life. After getting her first summer job at 15, her parents made her open a retirement account and deposit a portion of every paycheck. Her father introduced her to investing in stocks and mutual funds, the magic of compound returns, and other concepts that she realized - much later - gave her the framework to make smart financial decisions after graduating from college and navigating the first years of her adult life.
Kate's career advising institutional and high net worth clients on alternative investment strategies provided an invaluable education in asset management. However, as she continued to gain exposure, Kate became increasingly concerned that only the very wealthy or well-connected were able to access the type of nuanced financial analysis she had been trained to deliver. She decided to launch YYA to bring the diligence, rigor, and expertise honed over the course of her investment career to individuals and families who want help optimizing their financial lives.
